How to buy and activate a Firsty travel eSIM on the official site

Official Firsty path: destinations and plan, your payment, Wi‑Fi install, activate on arrival.

You need data before you fly and you do not want to swap a plastic SIM at the airport. Firsty is a travel data eSIM: pick destinations and a plan on firsty.app or the official app, pay, install on this unlocked phone, then turn data on when you reach coverage.

This note is only how to buy and activate a Firsty travel eSIM on the official site or app: check eSIM support and unlock, choose countries and a data pack, pay with a method you may use, install on solid Wi‑Fi, then point cellular data at that line and enable data roaming on it. No fake IDs, no SMS farms, no one else’s card.

This is travel data, not a local phone plan

You buy a data package

Firsty sells prepaid data. Official copy says one eSIM works in about 170 listed countries at one price. Classic is a GB bundle (about 0.5–50GB, about 30 days after activation). There is also ad-supported Free in some regions, and daily Unlimited (help: about 5GB at high speed per day, then about 512 Kbps). It is not a local voice tariff.

The phone must take an eSIM

The device needs eSIM support and a carrier unlock. Check firsty.app/post/does-my-device-support-esim. Coverage: firsty.app/countries. A locked phone may fail. Install help: the eSIM Installation article on intercom.help/firstyapp.

Official path: destinations → pay → install → activate on arrival

  1. 01
Check the phone, then open the store

Confirm Add eSIM exists and the phone is unlocked. Use firsty.app or the official Firsty app from the App Store or Google Play. Do not sideload an APK from a random site.

  2. 02
    Pick destinations and a plan

Read firsty.app/countries. For a paid travel pack, choose a Classic GB size and, when asked, the countries you will visit so auto-activate can fire on arrival. Multi-country trips can select several. Do not assume an unlisted country works. If Classic is still rolling out in your app, follow whatever plans the store shows that day.

  3. 03
Pay with a method in your name

Check out on the site or app with your card or another method they list. If it declines, switch to a listed method or in-app Support (support@firsty.app). Skip “approval” middlemen.

  4. 04
Install the eSIM on stable internet

Prefer Install eSIM in the app. If the QR is on this same screen, that phone cannot scan itself — use manual SM-DP+ and activation code as two fields (do not paste a full LPA:1$… string). Then confirm the Firsty profile in Settings → Cellular / Mobile Service (iPhone) or Connections / Network & Internet → SIM (Android).

  5. 05
Activate in coverage, point data, enable roaming

Activate when you are in a covered country, or wait for auto-activate on selected destinations. Set cellular data to the Firsty eSIM. Official help wants data roaming on for that eSIM (iPhone: the Firsty line → Data Roaming; Android: SIMs → Roaming). If you keep the home number, turn off data roaming on the home SIM. Open a page before you rely on maps. Guides: How to enable data roaming and Complete guide to Activate a Firsty eSIM.

Do not mix install time and activate time

Step Official wording Check
Install Stable Wi‑Fi; app Install eSIM / QR / manual Profile on the phone ≠ days ticking
Activate Auto on arrival, or Activate in the app Classic’s ~30 days start at activation
New phone One eSIM, one device; delete does not reuse Ask Support for a replacement; they may need the new EID

Firsty help: install needs a network; Classic validity starts at activation. If destinations auto-activated too early, in-app Support may revert the bundle to inactive.

Payment, roaming, and plan limits

Account and pay
Order only on firsty.app or the official app. Use your own payment method. Support is in-app or support@firsty.app. Do not send install codes to strangers.
Data roaming
The Firsty line needs data roaming on to join foreign networks. Keep the home SIM for the number only if you turn off its data roaming.
Free / Unlimited
Free is regional, basic speed, with ads. Unlimited is priced per day, with a high-speed daily cap then a throttle. Follow the store terms that day.
# Official path (firsty.app / official app)
Check: eSIM + unlocked → firsty.app/countries
Pay: Classic bundle or listed paid plan, your method
Install on Wi-Fi: App Install eSIM / QR / SM-DP+
Activate in coverage (or auto on selected countries)
Cellular Data → Firsty; Data Roaming ON for Firsty
Home SIM: disable data roaming if you keep the number

Once data works, a short sync still needs one page

Use Firsty for the road. A five-to-fifteen-minute diagram does not need another meeting client: frogmeet shares a room code — voice plus a whiteboard in the browser. Phone limits: mobile browser notes. Join steps: create and join a room.

Questions worth checking

Can I activate while I am still at home?

You can buy and install the profile at home. If you selected destinations and the phone already joins a matching network, the bundle may activate early. Skip country selection until you want the clock, then tap Activate on arrival. If it fired early, ask in-app Support about a revert.

Does purchase day start the data clock?

Classic help says the 30 days start at activation, not purchase. Install-then-activate and auto-activate on selected countries behave differently. Follow the app and intercom.help/firstyapp.

Can I use it as a local number for bank SMS?

Travel packs are data-first. Optional international calling credit is not a local MSISDN and is not a promise that banks or 2FA will deliver. For local SMS, use a legitimate local carrier plan — not an SMS farm.
