The week of 8 September, people searching “when does iOS 27 ship” want two facts, not a feature dump: which day the public build lands, and whether their iPhone gets the new Siri or only the system update.

Apple showed iOS 27 at WWDC on 8 June 2026. Developer and public betas ran into late August. The 9 September Surprise and Shine event is expected to name the public date; outlets following the usual cadence put the window around 14 September. What follows is only checkable dates, hardware tiers and the regional caveat.

   The keynote is 10:00 a.m. Pacific. In recent years Apple seeds a release candidate after the event and ships about a week later. The same hour is expected to cover iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27.

   ABP Live on 7 September put public iOS 27 near 14 September. Times of India stressed that Apple has only said “later this year.” Writing the 14th as an official day overshoots the files.

MacRumors wrote that Digital Markets Act constraints keep Siri AI off iPhone and iPad in the European Union at launch. The same stack is slated for macOS 27 Golden Gate. Apple is still talking with regulators.

The middle tier still gets photo tools

The same piece lists a redesigned Siri interface, a standalone Siri app, and Photos tools named Extend and Spatial Reframing. Times of India also described Siri in Camera and child-safety work. Those still sit on Apple Intelligence hardware.

Older phones are not an empty shell

The OS-only tier still gets an upgraded CPU scheduler, rebuilt system search and Liquid Glass tweaks. MacRumors on 2 September also described iPhone Handoff: two iPhones sharing one number. It appeared on a WWDC slide; details were thin then.
